MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
it's been a long time since i posted an entry.. was busy wif sch stuff and exams after tt i was juz lazy to blog and my com juz had to choose during the holidays to break down.. and now 2007 is comin to a close.. and im movin closer to the 20s.. OMG!!! after this year i would no longer be a teen!! *sob sob*moving on....so here i am now.. wif my 101st post..and of all the places to blog such a memorable milestone..im now bloggin frm work.. juz completed some tasks and waiting for more to come.. *sigh*
a quick update of the events tt happened recently..my cousin juz got married last sun at meritus mandarin.. was so romantic.. haha.. he was singin some english oldies on the stage to welcome the bride into the venue though it was abit too long for my liking it was still so romantic and there were bubbles tt preceded the bride.. it ws so cool!! haha.. and the MCs for the nite made him come up wif three reasons y the bride should married him and he was like made to say the first reason twice because he was too shy to say it out loudly the first few times and the first was "coz i love her", the second was "coz she love mi" and the third was coz they love each other or something.. *awww..... so sweet*haha..and i become an aunt for the 9th and 10th time.. all within a month.. felt so old all of the sudden.. haha.. would try to post photos of my nieces.. haha.. maybe i should post photos of all 10 of them here!! but.... it's juz a thought onli.. haha.. anyway.. results would be released on the 28th.. im sooOooo not looking foward to gettin my results back.. and we had to register modules for next sem and i could only choose one elective as i already had 5 pre-registered subs this sem and the taking an elective is onli if i wan to overload.. the worst thing tt happened during the sub registeration was i couldn't access to the internet frm home and had to used my mom's office com to register.. but nth beats this.. we have to at least have 3 modules on the waiting list or we would be considered for the modules we placed on the waitin list only after those who had at least three modules on the waitin list.. which means the chance of gettin my electives are super slim since the two electives i chose are of the popular courses.. *sigh*

while i was lamentin bout the brain drain yesterdae i forgot to mention one veri impt thing.there's goin to be a week long holi after next week!! woohoo!!though some of the time would be to catch up on some readings tt im laggin behind in HL102 and HL104, most of the time would be rest and relax.im sooooooooo lookin forward to tt little recess.anyway movin on to wat happened todae.had my pschye tutorial this morn.and all of a sudden i find myself in the wrong class.hav been in the wrong class since the start of the sem when tutorial sessions started.my tutorial room was supposed to be at 117 and i keep goin to 111..the reason for this blurness?i actually changed my tutorial lesson frm 111 to 117 and i din even realise it till i checked wif another timetable tt was printed veri long ago.tink tt's prob due to the same timin and same slot the tutorials are.okie.watever.im jux findin some excuse for my sotong behaviour.been in tt denial stage for a veri long time.its time to move on to the acceptance state.Or not.tink tt's the most interestin thing tt happened to mi todae.other den the tutorial of HL104 is gettin much interestin.which to some ppl would be super yawn yawn stuff.but hey.its a biiggg improvement frm the start where the tutorial is onli bout the askin and answerin of qns.*sigh* time to go back to doin my assignments and research qns.had another assignment assigned todae.but the dateline is next month.so its not quite as urgent as the essay assignment for HW101 next week, abstract for HL104 and which im laggin behind others by a little coz the word i chose to focus was in the prof words "too obvious".wat the hell.so now i hav to look for another word or phrase and hope it doesnt get shoot down again by tt "too obvious" comment.

I HATE WEDNESDAYS!!!its THE super drainin dae i had in my whole week.discussed all the methodolgies in HL104.some of which are totally confusin.like today's structralism, post-structralism and deconstruction.it totally boggles the mind.with its binary relationships, and how the opposites of a word is wat makes the word havin the power it has like how masculinity is powerfully only because it builds on the framework of feminity(the exclusion of wat's feminine..), the focus of the lack of identity of a word like lie which means its the untruth, so tt means tt there's no definite meaning for the word lie builds itself on wat it's not.and the best thing bout deconstruction?u would always hav to refer back to the institutions that dictates wat the "privileged" word in the pair and wat is not.and the power of the ppl who decides wat's "privileged" and wat's not? its given to them by us, the indiviuals.confusing? i tink tt's the main purpose of this methodolgy.to frustrate ppl and make ppl's brain do aecrobatics.tink i would juz shut up here bout this confusin methodology when i still can.another thing tt's not nice bout wed?the rushin out of research qn for the same mod.its always the case of coopin ourselves all in the library for some last min work on our research qn and the rushin to the tutorial room.but i tink tt's wat bonds the class together?(or at least the grp of ppl i hang out wif. this and eatin together.)oh wells.i need to hit the sack. havin early lessons tmr and a full dae startin at 930 and endin onli at 530. but lucky for mi the startin of lessons at 930 on thurs are fornightly or else i can die frm too much brain drain in two daes.and i hav a pschye quiz next mon which i haven not started preparin.bloody hell.tink i reaaaaallli should stop here and stock up on more brain juices for tmr.

long time since i last blog.. sch has started for a month..quite busy wif sch work and all the readings.. so din realli hav time to sit down and blog.. plus wif all those readings piling up its kinda hard to cope.. =/*stress*i would be havin some pschy mid term paper in another 18 daes!! *haix* i dun even hav time to read thru all my lit stuff not to say my elective.. haix.. i need more time!!!!hmm...
okie.. quick update of my tutorials..
my HL101 tutor is a mass comm major.. has a PHD(or is it master?) in somethin tt's related to mass comm.. as he doesnt hav a traditional background in lit(in his words) he's quite recpetive to ideas tt we hav to make the class more interestin.. haha..
HL104 tutor is quite fun in lecture but attendin his tutorial is quite stress..=\
he takes the participation part in class quite seriously.. he expects everyone to speak up in class.. so need to rack the brain hard to tink of qns to ask or to ans his qns..
my pschye elective tutor is quite fun.. haha.. had alot of fun in her class.. but its onli every fortnightly..
HL102 tutor is bad.. i dun understand wat he's tokin bout half the time in lecture coz i tink he has a veri wierd accent to begin wif and he mumbles alot to himself.. but this week's tutorial wasnt tt bad.. coz we had to memorise the first first 12 line in Chaucer's The General Prologue which is in middle English.. so he made us read the lines out loud in class and we were to translate the middle English to modern English and its to be grammatically correct.. haha.. created alot of laughs when we started readin the poem.. coz the pronucations of words are not the same even though the words may look simliar.. but it realli made mi respect him alot.. he seems to read it effortlessly while we are all strugglin to..
Craft of writing which teaches us how to write concisely and to "unclutter" our writin is quite fun but veri hard.. haha.. i cant differentiate my nouns fmr my verbs.. i juz noe how to use it!! so im still in the process if learnin.. haha..
i tink tt's all for now.. i need to start on my readin!! haha..

had my freshman welcome day todae. had a super early mornin session which started at 922..(wierd timing coz of the registration and stuff.. haha..) anyway was quite borin wif the talks and everythin.. though i like the asst prof's speech quite funny and animated.. haha..
i tink its coz i haven not been in a lect for like 7? 8? months all the things tt was said went in one ear and came out of the other w/o any passage to my brain. kind of in a daze.. or maybe is it coz its too early in the mornin for my brain to start working? haha..
my session ended at 10 plus. wasnt too bad.. except for the last part of the talk which was done by the HSS club president.. erm.. let's juz say his pronuncation isnt too accurate and was abit awakward listenin to him talk.. maybe its coz of nerves.. anyway we had a tea reception after the talks.. wasnt in the mood to eat so early in the mornin so i gave it a miss.. but saw the way Qimin ate.. the food wasnt too bad i guess.. haha..
split into small divisons and had our division gatherin?.. anyway my course consists primarily of female students wif onli a few male species present.. haha.. kinda expected i tink.. dun ask mi y oso.. i wun noe.. haha..
but my session was quite fun and entertainin.. lol.. anyway it ended quite early.. at around 12.. so went to meet alicia at lt1a and had free lunch!! haha.. din hav enuff time to finish it though.. lol.. was too rush and im a slow eater.. lol.. after tt had to pei alicia for another talk.. was surprisin to find ppl actually slpin at the talk.. hello? this is supposed to be ur talk and u are actually slpin? cant realli believe it..
had a tour round sch after tt b4 we procceded to nanyang aud for our welcome dae for freshman(and ladies..haha..) like some segements of the programme like the light up wif our torchlights and we get to wear some gown.. haha.. kinda cool.. had another tea reception after the talks.. (i tink i spent the whole dae in sch eatin w/o spendin a single cent) the food wasnt too bad.. but i din get to eat the chocolate eclaire..=(
saw grace and evelyn.. had a fun time catchin up.. haha.. and we decided to walk back home after the tea recieption ended (we were the last few to leave and had ate quite alot of stuff, took the balloons as well!!! hahaha..) but in the end we couldnt find our way to the yunan garden.. (hey.. we are freshies mahz.. of coz dunno the place la.. haha..) anyway i oso lead them to the wrong place as well..my bad my bad>.<
so by the time i reached home i was totally exhuasted still am tired now.. haha.. tink its oso partly due to tt badminton session yesterdae.. made my whole dae lumped into a full ball of excruciatin pain wif the so mani steps to take todae.. tink the muscle aches would last for quite some time yet.. o man!! my bdae this year would be onli pain and muscle aches.. =(

yea!!! its the start of a new month.. hahaha.. and my bdae's onli 3 daes away..=)anyway woke up bright and early todae to do my matriculation thingy.. and found out tt the sub registration is onli open on the 7th aug and todae is juz purely matriculatin and to add additional core modules or major PEs.. dotz.. wasted my slp and time.. haha.. somemore dunno y had a restless nite last nite and keep wakin up.. haha.. onli went to slp finally at around 6 plus( i tink.. judgin frm the coolness of the room) and huggin my smelly blanket after tuggin it away frm my mom who "stole" it!! hahaha.. but got woken up 3 hours later to a melodious tune of my alarm.. -.- tt is after hittin the snooze button for 4 times.. hahaha..and i tink i finally got hold of the whole concept of the registration thingy.. haha.. but still blur.. its like super lots of procedures to follow and stuff.. and im like still scracthin my head in wonder.. haha.. so if anyone can help mi.. pls extend a helpin hand.. would be greatly appreciated. haha.. no rewards though.. purely voluntary basis.. haha..~~~~~~~~~~got a call frm my mom juz now.. super touched.. almost cried... she sounded so tired coz of the end month and start month of the billing.. and she was still concerned bout how my registration went.. she even told mi not to look for tuition to supplement my allowances if i realli cannot take the workload.. but i would wanna lighten her burden.. coz now both mi and my bro are in teritary insitutions and the expenses are like super high.. so if we both were to depend solely on her salary it would be hard for her to make ends meet wif bills to pay.. and even though she said its okie.. she still can afford i cant help but wanna lighten her load by not gettin my allowances frm her.. but i dunno whether i hav the ability to do so or rather the capabitlities.. *haix*
